Utafiti,uliofanywa na Watafiti wa Chuo Kikuu cha Tiba cha Nanjing nchini China, ulichambua muda ambao washiriki walilala wakati wa wiki na wikiendi, huku wakikusanya taarifa kuhusu ikiwa walikuwa na ugonjwa wa moyo,shinikizo la damu au kisukari.
Ambao waliolala kwa walau saa moja zaidi ya mwishoni zaidi mwa wiki kuliko siku za wiki walikuwa na viwango vya chini vya magonjwa ya moyo ikilinganishwa na wale ambao hawakufidia usingizi wao.
