Music producer Don Jazzy responds to Wizkid’s recent comment calling him an “influencer,” despite Don Jazzy’s extensive two-decade career in the music industry.

After Ladipoe, a singer signed to Mavin Records, criticized Wizkid’s comments about hip hop being dead, Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, responded on social media.

Wizkid had referred to Don Jazzy as an “influencer” despite his two decades in the industry.

The exchange stemmed from Wizkid’s statement that Afrobeats artists are facing difficulties, while rap music is flourishing.

Nigerian rapper, Ladipoe, suggested that Afrobeat artists are facing a similar “hip hop is dead” situation that rappers once went through.

In response to Ladipoe’s comment, a fan urged Wizkid to rebuke him. Wizkid, however, dismissed the idea, saying he couldn’t engage with someone like Ladipoe, who is considered an influencer rather than a musician.

Wizkid made indirect and critical remarks towards Don Jazzy and Ladipoe on Twitter.

Don Jazzy, a respected music producer and singer, disapproved of Wizkid’s actions.

Aside from his talent, Don Jazzy is known for his charitable work, including supporting aspiring artists and giving back to the community through giveaways.

Don Jazzy took Wizkid’s comments as disrespectful and responded by unfollowing him on Instagram.
