The barber was promised a substantial sum of N2 million.
Callistus Chisom Okolie, a barber from Abuja and a fervent Wizkid supporter, gained recognition after a viral interaction with renowned Nigerian musician Davido.
Okolie made a statement online, which he refers to Wizkid as the “third biggest musician in the industry.”
Davido expressed his annoyance with the barber, stating that he had missed out on a lucrative opportunity.
He told the barber (@kallystouch), “I saved your photo and planned to visit Abuja to get a haircut from you, but you were preoccupied with social media.
I helped my last three barbers establish their own salons. By prioritizing social media, you’ve squandered your potential and the blessings that could have benefited your family.”
The statement made by Davido has however outraged social media users as they criticize the 31-year-old artist for behaving like God.
On social media platform X, a Nigerian user named @MrDablue offered to pay Callistus a generous N2 million.
On social media, the individual stated that they have successfully connected with the viral Abuja barber and will be providing him with the donated funds.
He posted, the post reads,“Who has that barber guy’s contact, 2 million naira for him. Davido is not God. I just get in touch with the barber guy, he’s not in lagos i ve paid him to book a flight to lagos om monday 🦅 Davido must learn a lesson. Someone just sent me 200k to add to this, this guy will be rich forever. 🦅”.
