Nigerian music star Simi Kosoko has shared an interesting backstory about her popular track “Men are Crazy,” which features the vocals of renowned singer Tiwa Savage.
Simi, renowned for her expressive vocals, recently graced Angela Yee’s “Way up” podcast and shared that her music finds its inspiration in none other than her cherished husband, Adekunle Gold.
Adekunle Gold inspired the chorus of the popular song “Men are Crazy” with the lyrics “Men are crazy but I still want one more in my bed.”
The song explores the complexities of men’s behavior while acknowledging their importance in womens’ lives.
Simi discusses her first joint effort with Tiwa Savage, emphasizing their shared eagerness to collaborate on such an impressive song.
However, Singer Simi praised Tiwa Savage for her dedication and professionalism.Despite having different musical styles, Simi admired Tiwa for taking the time to meticulously record her part of a collaboration despite her hectic schedule.
According to her, the song idea came from her husband. He suggested they include the line “Men are crazy, and I still want one in my bed.” She initially thought it was an unusual idea for her to sing, but she went with it.
While composing the initial verses of the song, I sensed a lack of completeness. I realized it required an extra element to enhance it.I decided to collaborate with Tiwa even though our musical styles are distinct and we don’t typically align in that sense.
However, I believed that our unique combination could create a memorable experience for our fans.”
I sent her the song when she was in Los Angeles. She then went to a recording studio despite her busy schedule.
