Following a fan criticism of Ruger’s music since leaving his previous label, Jonzing Record, the popular Nigerian artist has taken to social media to strongly criticize his former label, owned by D’Prince, sparking online discussions.
In January 2024, musician Ruger announced the launch of his new record label, “Blown Boy Entertainment”. This announcement marked his departure from the D’Prince Jonzing Records label.
In a detailed statement on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Ruger alleged that his former manager, D’Prince, used his earnings to support newer artists while neglecting him financially and keeping him uninformed about these dealings.
On June 7th, 2024, singer Ruger shared a post on Instagram to promote his new song. However, a fan named “Efekoga” responded negatively, claiming that Ruger has not released any successful songs since leaving D’Prince Jonzing Records label.
In a recent exchange on social media, Ruger, the talented artist who recently parted ways with D’Prince Jonzing Records, wasted no time in responding to the troll who claimed that he hadn’t had any hits since leaving the label.
Ruger confidently asserted that even Jonzing Records itself hadn’t produced any hit songs since his departure.
He replied by saying; “No hit for Jonzing since I left Jonzing.”
This bold statement showcases Ruger’s belief in his own talent and highlights the impact he had during his time with the record label.
