Renowned Nollywood star and talented filmmaker Funke Akindele has stirred up buzz after engaging in a heated exchange with a social media troll who attempted to body shame both her and her fellow actress, Toyin Abraham.
The troll left a comment on her post, suggesting that she should lose weight.He mentioned that it was not wise for her to gain weight and not care.
He also said that being overweight could be harmful for an actress like her, as it might affect her performance in roles.
The critic stressed that thinking gaining weight is a sign of a good life is wrong, ignoring the fact that obesity can be dangerous and uncomfortable.
He encouraged both her and Toyin Abraham to lose weight, pointing out the noticeable changes in their shape and appearance.
He said, “Funke Akindele, it’s not smart how you’re getting too fat and not worried.
It’s even worse not realizing that being overweight isn’t good for an actress like you, as it could impact your ability to play roles and stop directors from hiring actresses who need to be smart, , and in good shape.
However Funke Adekele expressed her thoughts through the comment section, extending gratitude for his concern before addressing him disparagingly.
Her response was: “Yes sir. Werey Alaso.”
