Sophia Momodu, the mother of Nigerian singer Davido’s child, has spoken out about the legal action he has taken against her.
Just before Davido and Chioma’s wedding, Sophia Momodu, Davido’s ex-partner, has responded to his lawsuit. Davido recently sued Sophia for custody of their daughter, Imade.
In a recent statement, Sophia explained why Davido allegedly stopped supporting their daughter.
Davido, the CEO of DMW record label, has filed a lawsuit against his ex-partner, Sophia, regarding the custody of their daughter, Imade Aurora Adeleke.
The lawsuit coincides with Davido’s upcoming wedding to Chioma.
Sophia has publicly released a statement in response, sharing her side of the story and revealing sensitive information.
Sophia disclosed that her relationship with Davido lasted from 2014 to 2017, and then again from 2020 to 2022. Throughout their time together, Davido supported her financially and their daughter, Imade.
Sophia recently revealed that she decided to end her relationship with Davido in July 2022. She claimed that he has been using threats to manipulate her into sleeping with him.
Sophia emphasized that she never prevented Davido from seeing their daughter, Imade, and it was his choice to be absent from her life.
Sophia alleged that Davido did not reach out to Imade on special occasions like her birthday or Christmas. However, he consistently portrayed himself as a supportive father on social media.
In her statement, Sophia highlighted Davido’s failure to fulfill his financial responsibilities towards Imade, including not paying her school fees despite the school sending multiple reminders.
