The body of Late Nollywood Actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu has been laid to rest in his hometown of Amuri, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State. Mr. Ibu died on March 2nd, 2024 at the age of 64 years after a prolonged sickness (diabetes) leading to the amputation of his leg after enduring seven surgeries.
A Night of Tribute was held in his honour on Wednesday, in Enugu State, with fellow actors Charles Anwurum and Victor Osuagwu, among those who paid their last respects.
Earlier this month, we reported that the Actors Guild of Nigeria held a candlelight procession to pay tribute to Mr. Ibu, Zulu Adigwe and Amaechi Muonagor at Unity Fountain in Abuja.
A Novelty Football match was also organised by Rangers International Football Club where other Nollywood Stars and Celebrities faced the Rangers Start to honour the Late Actor.
The burial attracted the presence of top Nollywood Actors including Patience Ozokwor (Mama G), Bob-Manuel, Victor Osuagwu, Emeka Ani, Charles Awurum and other top personalities including Mr. Peter Obi.
