President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Accra, Ghana, to attend the sixth mid-year coordination meeting of the African Union.

The President departed Abuja on Saturday morning and was received at the Kotoka International Airport by top Ghanaian and Nigerian officials, including the Ghanaian Deputy Minister of Education, Prof Kingsley Nyarko, and Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tugar.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu will address the meeting on the status of regional integration in Africa.

As the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will play a key role in the meeting, which aims to promote regional integration and address various challenges facing Africa.

The President is expected to present the ‘2024 Report on the State of the Community,’ focusing on key areas such as peace, regional security, governance, economic integration, humanitarian and social development, energy, mines, and agriculture.
