1) Size: Because of their small sizes you could have a very large operation in a very small space area. With the exception of poultry all other livestock require a large area of land to operate.

)Ability to keep rabbits indoors..You would agree that it’s impossible to keep all other types livestocks indoors like cattle sheep goats and pigs indoors because of their size ..Even poultry that’s much smaller cannot be kept indoors due to the high ammonia their droppings produce but with rabbits because of their small size quietness and odourlessness they could be kept indoors in your spare bedroom or your garage with no issues noise or foul odours.

)Rapid Growth rate:Rabbits have a rapid growth rate ..reaching sexual maturity at 4months and making it possible to recover almost all the money you spent to set up your rabbitry in the first year of operation if everything goes according to plan.

)Short generational interval: Since rabbit have a short grow out time and early sexual maturity you can actually benefit from the short generational interval by that I mean when you breed your first pair of rabbits till tye Time that the offspring from this breeding are old enough themselves to be bred is relatively short when compared to other types of livestock .So with a proper breeding strategy you can steadily increase the size of your herd in a relatively short period of time compared to other livestock which takes a much longer period.

)High reproductive potential:Compared to other livestock rabbits has the highest reproductive potential. On an average a doe kindles between One and 12 kits per litter and depending on the breeding schedule used it’s possible to have as much as 8litters per year from a single doe,All other forms of livestock give between one and 2 litters per year.
