Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has praised the broad-based Cabinet lineup, asserting that it is a “win for all Kenyans” with no losers.

Addressing a funeral in Nyandarua, Laikipia county, Gachagua said Mt Kenya region remains happy because Secretary to the Cabinet Mercy Wanjau adds to their numbers.

He clarified that Wanjau was not sacked during the recent Cabinet reshuffle, nor was Musalia Mudavadi, who now serves as Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

Gachagua lauded Wanjau’s performance and commitment to public service, stating that she will assist President William Ruto in running the affairs of the country.

He urged all Kenyans to remain united, especially during the ongoing protests.

The Deputy President condemned those who have taken advantage of the protests to settle political scores, loot property, steal, maim, and hurt.

He also called on leaders to respect Kenyans, acknowledging that the people of Kenya are intelligent and capable of analysis.
