The mega-rich Saudi Pro League club have switched their attention to the Brazil international after failing to agree on a deal for Barcelona winger Raphinha.

The club are in the market for a winger this summer, and have registered their interest in a deal ahead of the 31st August cut-off.

The 20-time champions are willing to sell Antony, who has struggled to live up to his £82million price tag since arriving from Ajax in the summer of 2022.

However, the Premier League giants are expected to make a loss on him with any potential sale.

Football Insider revealed that United told the 24-year-old to find a new club last month, which could open the doors for this deal to happen.

United are also willing to let him leave on loan in this window so long as his £100,000-a-week wages are covered.

The Brazilian scored just once in 29 Premier League appearances last season, which was his first goal contribution in 23 games.

Throughout his time at the Premier League giants, Antony has made 82 appearances in all competitions and provided 11 goals and five assists.

Although his contract doesn’t expire until 2027, Erik ten Hag is willing to let him leave in this window.

The money that United would make from selling Antony could be reinvested in other attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Football Insi1der revealed that the club are plotting a late-window bid for Brentford’s Ivan Toney, which would cost around £50million.
