Northeastern MPs Convene in Mombasa to Address Community Challenges

A group of Members of Parliament from the northeastern region gathered at the Serena Hotel in Mombasa for a crucial consultative meeting aimed at tackling the pressing issues facing their constituents.

The meeting attended by elected and Nominated MPs from.North eastern was led by Abdisirat Khalif Ali, a nominated MP in the National assembly marked a significant step towards collaborative problem-solving in the region.

The discussions centered around the myriad challenges confronting northeastern communities, including access to education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

The MPs expressed a strong commitment to working together to create effective solutions that would enhance well-being and promote sustainable development in their region.

ā€œOur communities have faced numerous challenges for far too long,ā€ said Abdisirat Khalif Ali.

ā€œIt is time we unite our efforts to advocate for the rights and needs of our people. This meeting is just the beginning of a concerted effort to drive real change in Northeastern Kenya.ā€ he added

The parliamentarians underscored the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders to address these issues comprehensively.

ā€œWe must engage with local leaders, NGOs, and the government to ensure that our development initiatives are impactful,ā€ added

As the meeting concluded, the parliamentarians committed to drafting a comprehensive action plan that outlines specific initiatives and timelines for addressing the challenges faced by their constituents.
