Nigerian music sensation Adedamola Adefolahan, widely recognized as Fireboy, has recently made headlines on social media following a viral video of what appears to be a court wedding with a foreign woman.
In the footage that has sparked a flurry of reactions across the internet, Fireboy, celebrated for his chart-topping hit “Peru,” was seen participating in a civil ceremony at the Federal Marriage Registry in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
The talented artist, who boasts a first-class degree in English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, was captured standing next to his supposed bride, an Oyinbo lady, who was seen holding his hand affectionately in the now-famous snapshot from the registry.
In a recent turn of events, Fireboy took to his official Facebook page to address the swirling rumors surrounding a viral court wedding. He made it clear to his fans and followers that he is not the individual featured in the trending video.
One user chimed in with the comment, “Aje na fireboy,” to which the talented artist promptly replied, “Aje no be me seh.”
