Nollywood star and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe Adeoti has taken a firm stand against the criticism surrounding her marriage to film marketer Kazim Adeoti, firmly rejecting the negative comments directed at her.
In her recent statements, she emphasized her unwavering commitment to her marriage, insisting that outside opinions will not diminish her happiness or the deep bond she shares with her husband.
During her appearance on the talk show Iriri Mi, hosted by Bimpe Akintunde, Mercy addressed claims that she controlling her husband.
She expressed her confusion over the public’s intense interest in her personal life, dismissing the allegations as insignificant distractions.
Reflecting on her journey, Mercy shared the difficulties she encountered from her family regarding her decision to remarry, particularly given her age.
Despite the pushback, she remained resolute in her choice, showcasing her strong belief in pursuing her own desires and goals.
According to her She said;
“That’s just noise. Look closely at those talking. How is their life? People only talk when you’re doing something good. If you’re not known, you can’t be their topic. You have to be at the top to be a topic. I love love, actually.
Even some family members asked me why I was getting married at almost 50, but everybody knows what they want. I know what I saw, and I know what I wanted. I love to have a crown (husband) on my head and to be married. Maybe if I was still in my baby daddy’s house, I wouldn’t be known as Mercy Aigbe.”
