HYGIENE
IF YOU LOVE THE VAGINA, READ THIS.
💢Don’t wash the Vagina, only wash the vulva ( the physical lips you see).
Hope you know the Vagina is a tube that goes in to link your womb. The vagina is self-cleaning, and its natural processes help maintain a balanced environment. Using harsh soaps, douches, or other cleaning products can disrupt the natural pH balance and beneficial bacteria in the vagina. This can lead to irritation, dryness, and an increased risk of infections. Washing the external genital area with mild, fragrance-free soap and water is generally sufficient for personal hygiene
💢Leave some public hair, don’t shave it all ( except when you’re about to have a baby).
Leaving some pubic hair can help protect the genital area by reducing friction and providing a barrier against bacteria and other irritants. It also serves as a natural cushioning layer.
💢Pee within 30 minutes after sex.
Peeing within 30 minutes after sex is advisable because it helps flush out any bacteria that might have entered the urethra during intercourse. This simple act can reduce the risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs) by expelling potential pathogens and preventing them from reaching the bladder.
💢Eat well and stay hydrated…indulge in cucumbers, yogurt.
Cucumbers are rich in water and low in calories, cucumbers can help maintain overall hydration. Staying well-hydrated is beneficial for mucous membranes, including those in the vaginal area. Yogurt contains probiotics, such as lactobacillus, which are beneficial bacteria that support a healthy balance of microorganisms in the vaginal flora. This can help prevent overgrowth of harmful bacteria and yeast, reducing the risk of infections.
💢Don’t abuse antibiotics:
Antibiotic abuse, or overuse, can affect the vagina by disrupting the natural balance of bacteria. Antibiotics not only target harmful bacteria but also can unintentionally eliminate beneficial bacteria, especially lactobacilli, which play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy vaginal environment. Abuse of antibiotics can lead to Yeast Infections, Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) etc.
