Nigerian vocalist Tiwa Savage has revealed that she became a musician because she had a crush on a “guy” who was usually seen with artists.

Tiwa revealed this during a recent interview with MTV Live while promoting her new movie project, “Water and Garri”

Recall that Tiwa Savage made a debut in Nollywood in a new movie she launched titled “Water and Gari”.

The film, titled ‘Water and Garri,’ is said to be shown on released on Amazon Prime Video. The movie was produced by Everything Savage and Unbound Studios.

Water and Garri, directed by Meji Alabi, is the latest addition to Prime Video Nigeria’s growing collection of high-quality Nollywood entertainment.

According to Tiwa Savage, acting was her first love before music but she entered into the music industry because she wanted to be close to her crush.

She said;

“I’ve always wanted to do acting. Acting was one of my first love before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy and he was always around the musician so I said ‘yeah, forget acting and just go into music.’”
