Nigerian artist Iyanya’s recent online response to a fan criticism of his long-standing music career has generated significant attention.

In the midst of the ongoing rivalry between popular musicians Wizkid and Davido, a Twitter user named Basito has expressed his support for Wizkid. Basito also revealed the reasons why some people dislike Wizkid.

Basito believes that Wizkid’s only fault was exceeding expectations and becoming the most accomplished Nigerian musician.

Basito commented that Wizkid’s only fault is surpassing the expectations set for him and becoming the standard himself.

Another Twitter user compared Wizkid’s situation to Drake, emphasizing that no one anticipated Drake’s rise to his current prominence.

Many people believed that singer Wizkid would surpass rivals Iyanya and Samklef in the music industry.

Similarly, Drake has faced criticism because the entertainment industry underestimated his potential to succeed.

@Xperience_Snr stated; “Same reason why Drake gets alot of hate. The whole entertainment industry didn’t expect that little tiny white boy to get that far. Wizkid was supposed to end up like Samklef and Iyanya.”

However, Wizkid fan tweet did not sit well with the singer as he wasted no time to criticize the fan.

Iyanya also responded to the Wizkid fan by attacking his paternal f@ther.
