Rio Ferdinand: Chelsea are putting on a real circus

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand spoke on the YouTube channel Vibe with Five about the situation in Chelsea with Mauricio Pochettino:

“For many this came as a complete surprise. A few days ago I said that he might leave, but I didn’t think it would happen so quickly .”

“Under the circumstances, I think Mauricio and his team have done a good job. They’ve been a joke at times this season, but he put it all together.”

“You look at it and think: ‘What are Chelsea trying to do here?’ “They brought in a lot of new players, inexperienced players, and the management’s recent behavior makes it seem like they were actually expecting miracles this season.”

“It was a very difficult process in which the coach tried to stabilize the situation this season – which he did. They just have to bring some experience and they could have a chance next season. They might not have been so far off if he had found the right players in the summer.”

“But then he gets fired, and we see that it’s a real circus.”

“I think the next Chelsea manager has a very difficult job, I think it will be difficult. They want a young, interesting manager and a project that they won’t be ashamed of, but this could be the start of another madness at Chelsea.
