Chelsea are adamant they are not selling Ian Maatsen for less than £35m.

They are confident that Borussia Dortmund will meet their requirements after receiving a financial boost by reaching the Champions League final.

At the same time, Dortmund are not rushing into the negotiations as they believe Maatsen prioritises staying at the German club where he has excelled on loan.

Dortmund’s hope is that Chelsea will have to lower their demands if there are no clubs willing to pay £35m.

Maatsen who will likely start in the Champions League final on June 1 was allowed to go on loan after he fell behind Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella in the pecking order.
