Kenya Power has announced upcoming power cuts scheduled to take place across seven counties on Thursday.
The utility company stated that the planned power interruptions will occur at various times between 8 AM and 5 PM.
The affected counties are Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kisii, Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi, Murang’a, and Kiambu.
In Nakuru, several areas, including Kapkures Center, Ingobor, Lalwet, Tumaini Cottages, Mogoon, Kapnandi, Mombasaa, and Kwa Michael, will experience power cuts from 8 AM to 4 PM.
Other parts of Nakuru, such as Vandenberg Flowers, Simba and Sopa Lodges, Sawela, Flamingo Flowers, Nini and Lamona Farms, Longonot Horticulture, Rumi Flowers, parts of Kedong Ranch, Naivasha Country Club, parts of Karagita, Olij Farm, and Kiwanja Ndege, will face power interruptions from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Uasin Gishu’s Kahoya Gynocare, Bondeni, and Kahoya Secondary will have power cuts from 9 AM to 4 PM.
In Kisii, areas like Emenwa Market, Matierio Secondary, Igare Market, Nyamagwa Mission Hospital, Nyamagwa Boys, Boitangare Secondary, and Matierio Saf Booster will be affected from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Customers in parts of Nyeri, including Birithia Girls, Mwanda TBC, Mahiga C/Fact, Kenyatta Mahiga High Sch, Kagere, Gachami, Mahiga Girls Sch, Mathakwaini and Secondary School, Thiriku C/Fact, Mathenge Technical Institute, Gitugi T/Fact, Gitugi, Munyange H/Centre, Njigari Pri, Rwatheini Village, Kihome, Miiri, Gaturuturu, Gathuthi T/Fact, Ndugamano Secondary, Ihithe Boys High School, Hubuini Village, and Mukarara, will experience power interruptions from 8 AM to 5 PM.
In Tharaka Nithi, Kaanwa, Kanjuki, Nairobi Ndogo, Kirimangari, and adjacent customers will have power cuts from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Makuyu, Makuyu Level 4 Hosp, Kamahuha, Sabasaba, Kamahuha Girls, Githembe, Mugumoini, Sabasaba Water Supply, Greenland, and Kakuzi Farm in Murang’a will be affected from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Several areas in Kiambu, including Kiambu Town, Ndumberi, Old Kiambu, Kiambu Prison, Kihingo, Kiambu Hospital, Kiambu Golf Club, Mbureria, Karambaini, and adjacent customers, will experience power interruptions from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Other affected areas in Kiambu are Kenyatta Road, Juja Modern Hospital, New Wood East, Kalimoni Secondary, Star of Hope East, Kwa Woria, Bristar Girls School, Theta Hotel, Faith East, Gate C, St. Peter’s School, parts of Gachororo, Juja Police Station, Elmark East, Juja Main Stage, Green Field East, Juja Sewage, Juja South, Kanini Farm East, Turraco Village, and Superhighway East. Will also experiencw power interruption from 9 AM to 5 PM
