Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is currently making waves at Napoli, which is set to depart the club in the upcoming summer transfer window, yet his next destination remains uncertain.

In the summer of 2023, speculation was rife that Osimhen would depart Napoli. Yet, defying expectations, he opted to remain and signed a contract extension featuring a hefty release clause of €130 million.

The significant buyout clause attached to the talented Nigerian striker has given pause to potential suitors like Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Arsenal, and clubs from Saudi Arabia.

According to Calciomercato, Aurelio De Laurentiis is open to reducing his asking price, potentially accepting offers in the region of €100 million.while this figure remains a significant financial hurdle for interested parties.

Dimeji Lawal, a retired Super Eagles star, has offered valuable advice to Osimhen as he contemplates a departure from Napoli, advising him to maintain composure and make well-considered decisions.

“Osimhen’s future at Napoli is up in the air. There have been reports of talks between Napoli and Chelsea, but his agent, Roberto Calenda, has strongly denied them,” Lawal told Complete Sports.

“He has a team of people looking after his interests. Their job is to advise him on the best course of action. They’ll tell him what to do and what not to do. It’s a tough situation, but Victor needs to stay calm. (To clarify), I’m not part of his management team.”

Recent reports from various Italian media outlets indicate that Arsenal is rekindling its interest in the player, having previously evaluated him during the summer without taking any concrete steps.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have reached out to Napoli to discuss a potential transfer for the Super Eagles star.

However, it seems that the proposals from both clubs do not meet Napoli’s expectations for a successful transaction.
